The Cartersville Downtown Development Authority was established in 1981 by the City of Cartersville in accordance with the Georgia Downtown Development Authority Act. The mission of the Authority is to revitalize and redevelop the central business district of the City of Cartersville, Georgia; to develop and promote trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities for the public good and general welfare; and to promote the general welfare of the State of Georgia by creating a climate favorable to the location of new industry, trade and commerce and the development of existing industry, trade and commerce within the City of Cartersville, Georgia.  The vision of the Authority is to make downtown a charming and prosperous district that connects the community by preserving our history, responding to the present, and planning for the future

Cartersville Welcome Center

Located in the Train Depot adjacent to the DDA offices, the Cartersville Welcome Center has information about various things to see and do in Cartersville. Restrooms, bottled water, and souvenirs for sale, maps and brochures available.
