An iconic cornerstone of the historic downtown Cartersville community, the Cartersville School of Ballet has nurtured young minds since 1972. The talented and experienced instructors guide students in every step of their dance training, beginning with creative movement games and the foundations of ballet and tap dancing. Students follow a detailed curriculum that expands to include contemporary classes, hip hop, jazz and pointe work as students progress. They learn to combine self-expression with discipline and to develop valuable skills of coordination, rhythm, and self-confidence. The school’s curriculum is based on a nine-month program (September through May) that culminates in an end-of-the-year Student Concert on stage and in costume. Specialty camps and programs are offered during the summer months.
